The City of Newport News aims to enable residents and community members of all ages and abilities to feel confident in their safety while moving about Newport News. The Newport News Safety Action Plan is a comprehensive approach to identify challenges and concerns with roadway safety and identify strategies and treatments for implementation.

The plan will be developed in compliance with the U.S. Department of Transportation's Safe Streets and Roadways for All (SS4A) program and leveraged to identify roadway safety improvements citywide.

Your input and participation will be important for this plan, so we encourage you to get engaged, stay engaged, and spread the word.
